Hi Everyone,

We have had an urgent appeal from production company regarding photos of Catalina's

My name is Elizabeth and I work for Prospero Productions, a Perth production company. We are making a documentary for National Geographic entitled Life On The Edge. As part of this production we are urgently seeking images of Catalina flying boats to include in a segment on the Japanese attack on Broome during WW2. I have come across the image Catalina Y-69 (Afd. Mar. Hist-MLD) on the website and was wondering if it would be possible to gain the use of this photograph for the series. Unsurprisingly we are operating on a very tight time-frame, and would need a high-res version of the image by Thursday. I know it is a big ask, but if there was any way of being able to use it, please do let me know.

I do apologise for the urgency of this email and request.

martin & I have been in touch and have clarified with Elizabeth that they are seeking photos of Catalina's and other aircraft types present during the Broome Raids that are:

• Non descript but time appropriate to Australian or Dutch aircraft at the time of the attack on Broome.

• Show people if possible.

• Are of as high as possible resolution.

Credits to the copy-right holder and ADF-Serials will be given for any photographs used.

C-17A Globemaster III (A41) Group: ADF Serials Team Posts: 789 Member No.: 4 Joined: 1-June 05	Hi Brendan The pics of Centaurus in the gallery by Robert Gill are ones that I scanned for his son with whom I worked, if suitable you can offer them to Elizabeth. Centaurus was sunk in Broome Harbour during the raids. Unfortunately I do not have the original high res scans though. Rod.

Supermarine Spitfire (A58) Group: ADF Serials Team Posts: 47 Member No.: 7,212 Joined: 17-January 13	It is my understanding that there were no RAAF Cats at Broome during the attacks of March 1942. The Cats present were: * RAF Squadron 205 PBY-5 Catalinas * USN Patrol Wing 10 PBY-4 Catalinas * MLD PBY-5 Catalinas Unfortunately I don't have photos to match the above. -Blackcat
