Ok,..this one has me perplexed.

We have a listing of all A19 collated RAF Serial Beaus in the RAAF.

Here we have a TFX at Fisherman's Bend in 1944-45: LX815

Beaufort A9-600 is in background,..so its in Australia. British Roundel red painted out on Primer paint?

So,..did it get a RAAF Gurney or who owned it?

Best
Gordy

The aircraft just visible in the foreground of the photo above is A19-2.

It was delivered as a pattern aircraft to DAP and remained with them until taken on charge by the RAAF. When in RAAF service it was repainted in probable temperate sea scheme as A19-218. The scheme depicted is the rare Special Duties Coastal Scheme applied to Beaufighter TFXs for a short time in 1943.

Noting I haven't fixed my Photobucket links yet

There is a file in the NAA about the import of this aircraft but it's not digitized and the reading room was closed when I was last back in Australia.
